GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall furnish Form E to the District Excise Officer within ten days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form E to the District Excise Officer within ten days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within ten days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
