GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building by owners of a high-rise building under the Kerala Fire Force Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the District Collector, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall furnish Form C to the Civil Defence Controller within one day.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a high-rise building carrying on the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building shall make an application in Form C to the Civil Defence Controller within one day, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the maintenance of fire safety in a high-rise building is undertaken, and the Civil Defence Controller shall dispose of it within one day of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
