GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a community radio station by community radio stations under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Authorised Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every community radio station carrying on the operation of a community radio station shall furnish Form VIII to the Broadcasting Authority within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every community radio station carrying on the operation of a community radio station shall make an application in Form VIII to the Broadcasting Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a community radio station is undertaken, and the Broadcasting Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
