GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a houseboat by operators of a houseboat under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall furnish Form I to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall make an application in Form I to the Heritage Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a houseboat is undertaken, and the Heritage Committee shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
