GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The business of a common carrier by road by common carriers under the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1958, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Highway Administration Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every common carrier carrying on the business of a common carrier by road shall furnish Form 30 to the Transport Commissioner within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every common carrier carrying on the business of a common carrier by road shall make an application in Form 30 to the Transport Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a common carrier by road is undertaken, and the Transport Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Maharashtra.
