GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The conduct of tours by tour operators under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Director General, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall furnish Form I to the Director General within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tour operator carrying on the conduct of tours shall make an application in Form I to the Director General within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of tours is undertaken, and the Director General shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
