GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The taking of mortgages by mortgagees under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1999, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector of Stamps, the Government of Rajasthan, after careful examination, hereby orders that every mortgagee carrying on the taking of mortgages shall furnish Form B to the Stamp Revenue Board within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee carrying on the taking of mortgages shall make an application in Form B to the Stamp Revenue Board within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of mortgages is undertaken, and the Stamp Revenue Board shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Rajasthan.
