GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound under the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall furnish Form 2 to the Director of Panchayats within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall make an application in Form 2 to the Director of Panchayats within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a cattle pound is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of West Bengal.
