Puducherry, dated the 10th February, 2010

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Patwari, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall furnish Form 7 to the Settlement Officer within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 7 to the Settlement Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Puducherry.
