GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Mining within a forest area by owners of a mine within a forest under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Forest Guard, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a mine within a forest carrying on mining within a forest area shall furnish Form II to the State Board within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a mine within a forest carrying on mining within a forest area shall make an application in Form II to the State Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which mining within a forest area is undertaken, and the State Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Karnataka.
