Lucknow, dated the 14th December, 2009

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The practice of law by legal practitioners under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Registrar, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every legal practitioner carrying on the practice of law shall furnish Form D to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every legal practitioner carrying on the practice of law shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Uttar Pradesh within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the practice of law is undertaken, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
