Mumbai, dated the 28th July, 2009

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Fishing in a reservoir by licensees of a fishery in a reservoir under the Bombay Irrigation Act, 1879, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Ground Water Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall furnish Form A to the Canal Officer within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fishery in a reservoir carrying on fishing in a reservoir shall make an application in Form A to the Canal Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which fishing in a reservoir is undertaken, and the Canal Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Maharashtra.
