Chennai, dated the 21st April, 2009

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall furnish Form 5 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 5 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as a sharecropper is undertaken, and the Land Tribunal shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
