GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The engagement of apprentices by employers of apprentices under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Labour Enforcement Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every employer of apprentices carrying on the engagement of apprentices shall furnish Form V to the Labour Commissioner within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of apprentices carrying on the engagement of apprentices shall make an application in Form V to the Labour Commissioner within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the engagement of apprentices is undertaken, and the Labour Commissioner shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
