GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Guard, the Government of Goa, after careful examination, hereby orders that every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall furnish Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form D to the Excise Appellate Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Goa.
