GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Employment in an industry by workmen under the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Labour Enforcement Officer, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall furnish Form VI to the Labour Court within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall make an application in Form VI to the Labour Court within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which employment in an industry is undertaken, and the Labour Court shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
