GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The arranging of marriages by marriage bureaus under the Maharashtra Regulation of Marriage Bureaus and Registration of Marriages Act, 1998, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Probation Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall furnish Form I to the District Registrar within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall make an application in Form I to the District Registrar within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the arranging of marriages is undertaken, and the District Registrar shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
