GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Employment in an industry by workmen under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Labour Enforcement Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall furnish Form V to the Licensing Officer within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every workman carrying on employment in an industry shall make an application in Form V to the Licensing Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which employment in an industry is undertaken, and the Licensing Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
