GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Revenue Inspector, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall furnish Form 5 to the State Government within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of West Bengal.
