GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies under the Maharashtra Regulation of Marriage Bureaus and Registration of Marriages Act, 1998, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall furnish Form III to the Maintenance Tribunal within forty-five days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall make an application in Form III to the Maintenance Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children for adoption is undertaken, and the Maintenance Tribunal shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
