Mumbai, dated the 7th May, 2008

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a shelter home by shelter homes under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Protection Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every shelter home carrying on the running of a shelter home shall furnish Form IV to the District Child Protection Unit within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every shelter home carrying on the running of a shelter home shall make an application in Form IV to the District Child Protection Unit within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a shelter home is undertaken, and the District Child Protection Unit shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
