GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop under the Karnataka Gram Swaraj and Panchayat Raj Act, 1993, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Gram Sevak, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall furnish Form 8 to the Panchayat Samiti within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall make an application in Form 8 to the Panchayat Samiti within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a village shop is undertaken, and the Panchayat Samiti shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Karnataka.
