GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of land as tenant by tenants under the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Village Accountant, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall furnish Form 5 to the Tahsildar within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the cultivation of land as tenant shall make an application in Form 5 to the Tahsildar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of land as tenant is undertaken, and the Tahsildar shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.
