GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The distribution of electricity by distribution licensees under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Electrical Inspector, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every distribution licensee carrying on the distribution of electricity shall furnish Form VII to the Grievance Redressal Forum within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distribution licensee carrying on the distribution of electricity shall make an application in Form VII to the Grievance Redressal Forum within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of electricity is undertaken, and the Grievance Redressal Forum shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Gujarat.
