GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The extraction of ground water by person drawing ground waters under the Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Superintending Engineer, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall furnish Form C to the Tribunal within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person drawing ground water carrying on the extraction of ground water shall make an application in Form C to the Tribunal within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the extraction of ground water is undertaken, and the Tribunal shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of West Bengal.
