Puducherry, dated the 25th April, 2007

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Naib Tahsildar, the Government of Puducherry, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall furnish Form 14 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Puducherry.
