Chennai, dated the 1st February, 2007

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a blood bank by blood banks under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Health Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every blood bank carrying on the running of a blood bank shall furnish Form 29 to the District Registering Authority within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every blood bank carrying on the running of a blood bank shall make an application in Form 29 to the District Registering Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a blood bank is undertaken, and the District Registering Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
