GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Inspector of Excise, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall furnish Form D to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form D to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of excisable articles is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of West Bengal.
