GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer by owners of a private drain under the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Health Officer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall furnish Form E to the Town Planning Authority within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a private drain carrying on the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer shall make an application in Form E to the Town Planning Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the connection of a private drain to the municipal sewer is undertaken, and the Town Planning Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Kerala.
