GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The carrying on of a trade within a cantonment by traders within a cantonment under the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Provost Marshal, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every trader within a cantonment carrying on the carrying on of a trade within a cantonment shall furnish Form D to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every trader within a cantonment carrying on the carrying on of a trade within a cantonment shall make an application in Form D to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the carrying on of a trade within a cantonment is undertaken, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
