Dehradun, dated the 14th August, 2026

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The arranging of marriages by marriage bureaus under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall furnish Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the arranging of marriages is undertaken, and the Government of Uttarakhand shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
