GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The occupation of land by occupiers under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Collector, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every occupier carrying on the occupation of land shall furnish Form 2 to the Competent Authority within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Competent Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of land is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Karnataka.
