Chennai, dated the 2nd January, 2026

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The setting up of a unit by units under the Tamil Nadu Special Economic Zones (Special Provisions) Act, 2005, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the adjudicating authority, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every unit carrying on the setting up of a unit shall furnish Form SEZ-1 to the Director General within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every unit carrying on the setting up of a unit shall make an application in Form SEZ-1 to the Director General within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the setting up of a unit is undertaken, and the Director General shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
