Chennai, dated the 26th November, 2025

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The execution of work for a principal employer by immediate employers under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Social Security Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every immediate employer carrying on the execution of work for a principal employer shall furnish Form 12 to the Commissioner within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every immediate employer carrying on the execution of work for a principal employer shall make an application in Form 12 to the Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of work for a principal employer is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
