GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The solemnisation of marriages by registered priests under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registered priest carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall furnish Form I to the District Court within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every registered priest carrying on the solemnisation of marriages shall make an application in Form I to the District Court within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the solemnisation of marriages is undertaken, and the District Court shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
