GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall furnish Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Uttarakhand within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children for adoption is undertaken, and the Government of Uttarakhand shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
