GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION

Subject: The drawing of water from a river by riparian owners under the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Executive Engineer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every riparian owner carrying on the drawing of water from a river shall furnish Form A to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every riparian owner carrying on the drawing of water from a river shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the drawing of water from a river is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
