GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The arranging of marriages by marriage bureaus under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall furnish Form III to the District Court within ninety days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every marriage bureau carrying on the arranging of marriages shall make an application in Form III to the District Court within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the arranging of marriages is undertaken, and the District Court shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
