GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The business of a pawnbroker by persons carrying on the business of a pawnbroker under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the officer in charge of a police station, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person carrying on the business of a pawnbroker carrying on the business of a pawnbroker shall furnish Form II to the District Magistrate within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on the business of a pawnbroker carrying on the business of a pawnbroker shall make an application in Form II to the District Magistrate within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a pawnbroker is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra.
