In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 2009), the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under section 9 shall, subject to its control, also be exercisable by the Marriage Officer.
