In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909 (West Bengal Act 5 of 1909), the Government of West Bengal hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under section 9 shall, subject to its control, also be exercisable by the Excise Officer.
