Chennai, dated the 25th September, 2024

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Membership of a society by members under the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every member carrying on membership of a society shall furnish Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every member carrying on membership of a society shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Tamil Nadu within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which membership of a society is undertaken, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
