GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a hostel by hostels for students of Scheduled Castes under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of Seats in Educational Institutions and of Appointments or Posts) Act, 2018, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Chief Commissioner, the Government of Karnataka, after careful examination, hereby orders that every hostel for students of Scheduled Castes carrying on the running of a hostel shall furnish Form I to the Chief Commissioner within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hostel for students of Scheduled Castes carrying on the running of a hostel shall make an application in Form I to the Chief Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a hostel is undertaken, and the Chief Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
