GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The driving of a motor vehicle by drivers under the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1974, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the registering authority, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every driver carrying on the driving of a motor vehicle shall furnish Form 23 to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every driver carrying on the driving of a motor vehicle shall make an application in Form 23 to the Regional Transport Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the driving of a motor vehicle is undertaken, and the Regional Transport Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
