In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Maharashtra Act 12 of 1960), the Government of Maharashtra hereby directs that the powers exercisable by it under section 9 shall, subject to its control, also be exercisable by the Director General.
