GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The occupation of premises by tenants under the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Rent Controller, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every tenant carrying on the occupation of premises shall furnish Form B to the Authority within ninety days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant carrying on the occupation of premises shall make an application in Form B to the Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the occupation of premises is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
