GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The engagement of employees through an immediate employer by principal employers under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Social Security Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every principal employer carrying on the engagement of employees through an immediate employer shall furnish Form 6 to the Commissioner within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every principal employer carrying on the engagement of employees through an immediate employer shall make an application in Form 6 to the Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the engagement of employees through an immediate employer is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
