GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The supply of contract labour by contractors under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workmen) Act, 1981, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Inspector, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor carrying on the supply of contract labour shall furnish Form II to the Labour Court within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor carrying on the supply of contract labour shall make an application in Form II to the Labour Court within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the supply of contract labour is undertaken, and the Labour Court shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
