Chennai, dated the 23rd March, 2020

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The service of process by process servers under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every process server carrying on the service of process shall furnish Form C to the Registrar within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every process server carrying on the service of process shall make an application in Form C to the Registrar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the service of process is undertaken, and the Registrar shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
