GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Director General, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall furnish Form II to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall make an application in Form II to the Government of Maharashtra within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in antiquities is undertaken, and the Government of Maharashtra shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
